“Pack the House” donation received

Posted on: April 16th, 2010

Beatitude House received a $500 donation from the Youngstown State University Athletic Department awarded through the NCAA "Pack the House" contest.  The "Pack the House" contest winner is based upon the college team that experiences the highest percentage increase in the number of people attending a Women's Basketball game during the season.  The YSU Athletic Department held a "Youth Day" and invited the community to the game, resulting in a 100% increase over the average attendance.

Thank you the YSU Athletic Department for selecting Beatitude House!

Easter Egg Hunt

Posted on: April 7th, 2010

Who would of thought the Easter Bunny would leave 200 eggs on the lawn of 1515 Fifth Avenue for Beatitude House and neighborhood children to find?? That is exacly what happend, thanks from a little help from Charlie's Angels who gave the bunny directions to us!  On April 6 the children ran and collected as many eggs as they could find.  Of course they were a little anxious to eat the candy first but after some persuading they were able to "hunt first and enjoy later"
